Lake Gardens

I have switched his morning exercise from Titiwangsa Park to Lake Gardens. He hasnt been keen on using the equipment at Titiwangsa the past few visits. He often wanted to be carried even before we got to the playground (when walking from the car park to the playground).

He probably needed a change of scenery. Or it could have been too hot & sunny for him as the children's playground at Titiwangsa Park is not shaded. The Neurosuit tends to be hot as it adds another layer in our already hot & humid weather. The smaller children's playground at Lake Gardens is partially shaded.

He's also getting heavier (16kg) & with the suit on, I struggle to carry him all the way from the playground to the car. The suit itself isnt that heavy but when he wears it & I'm carrying him, it makes a noticeable difference! He's already more than 30% of my weight without the suit on. At Lake Gardens, the car park is nearby.

He was happy to be back in Lake Gardens. We used to often bring him there before we discovered Titiwangsa. This bridge is still one of his favourite pieces of equipment (see photo above).

Now in his NeuroSuit, he wasn't keen on playing on the equipment compared to previously without the suit on. He did play on the equipment but not as much compared to previous times. I think it's because it requires so much more energy & effort climbing, stepping, balancing etc.

He was happy to observe other kids running around & the cars moving in / out of the car park. He did also run around but not with the others. The helicopter (photo above) is also a favourite of his (& other kids). He is now able to sit on a see saw for what seems like quite a long time without sliding off to one side & I can now be on the opposite seat of the see saw playing. He struggles climbing up the ladder when in the suit, so I help him if he wants to climb up.

When there weren't many kids (less likelihood of being shoved or pushed), I sat on the nearby bench & observed from a distance. I wanted to slowly transition away from always being by his side.

This equipment is new. It's really good for him to practice the step up/step down movement. The hanging steps gives added challenge to his depth perception. He went through it just once, holding my hand. Tried other times to get him to use it but failed. I'll not give up!
